Cirencester Athletics Club is the focus for all runners from Cirencester and the surrounding area. The club was formed in 1985 and has steadily grown to the current senior membership of 130, with runners aged from 17 to over 70 of all abilities from novice runners to people competing at an international level.
Cirencester AC incorporates the increasingly successful Cirencester Triathlon Club which has had representation from a local to international level. Swim coaching sessions are run each week at the leisure centre on a Sunday evening at 5:00pm.
We also have over 100 members in an active Junior & Teens Section for track and field athletes of school age which is very popular. The junior section meet on a Wednesday night, details can be found here .
The main adult club meet is (in winter) at the Cotswold Leisure Centre (LC) in Cirencester on Tuesdays at 6.30pm for a structured training session (efforts, intervals or hill training). This session is split into two training groups by ability, the fast/medium group, and the improvers. Each group has a tailored coach and training session each week. In the summer these training sessions switch to Deer Park School where we are able to run on the grass track, access is via the second entrance along the A419 Stroud Road.

A thriving social group also runs on Thursday mornings at 9.00am from the LC, most weeks including the idyllic surroundings of Cirencester Park, followed by coffee etc afterwards from 11:00.

Lastly, there may be some informal groups running at various paces starting from the LC at 9.00am on Sunday mornings,
Prospective new members are always welcome - just come along on a Tuesday evening and join in to see if the club can help you to enjoy and get more out of your running and triathlon!

We are affiliated to UKA, ARC and British Triathlon.
