Seven Sins, Forest of Dean, 7 miles trail
Sixteen year old Ollie Campbell kicked off a great holiday of running with a win of the
Seven Sins 7 mile trail race in the Forest of Dean. This was followed by an U17 win in
the X Country Champs and third and fourth places in two parkruns run in one morning.

Gloucestershire XC Championships, Rendcomb College
The weekend saw the annual cross country county championships held at Rendcomb
College. CAC hosted this event, with a gruelling route set by James Thomas aided by
Rupert Chesmore and Louise Abbott. This was technical terrain with woods, hills, and
an icy stream. There was a fantastic club turnout of both runners and marshals, with 8
women, a record 16 men competing and a really strong junior contingent. Henry
Sheffield and Ollie Campbell won their respective age groups, and the senior men's
team won a silver medal. James kindly broke the ice the day before so the competitors
could valiantly brave the river crossing - 4 times for women and 6 times for men. Some
competitors loved it so much they even felt the need to baptise themselves fully in the
icy waters for the full XC experience! Special mentions go to all those who helped
marshal and organise this hugely successful event.
