A few places are available for the Sunday swim sessions at Cirencester Leisure Centre, 5pm-6pm.
Here are a few of the benefits that swimming can have on your running:
1 - Improves cardiovascular fitness with minimal stress on your body.
2 - Helps your recovery from a race/long run/hard training session because cold water plus a more relaxed way of movement will facilitate blood flow and recovery.
3 - Will increase oxygen and lung capacity because of the control/timing of your breathing.
4 - Works and strengthens muscle groups that are not used so much in running, therefore giving better overall fitness/balance/posture.
