Victory at the Druid's Challenge

With the flurry of Autumn marathons and half marathons tailing off, news this week of off-road achievements.


Ultra specialist Rob Forbes completed the Druids Challenge race in extremely impressive style over the weekend. This event follows the 85 mile route of The Ridgeway National Trail over three days and includes over 2200 metres of ascent. Rob finished in first place on each of the days, taking a total of just under ten and a half hours to cover the whole distance.


Many congratulations to Rob.

Of note on the parkrun circuit, Alex Banks was third at Brockenhurst, Nea Sneddon-Jenkins was second lady at Tetbury and, as the world of international travel opens up, Paul Timms was in Toronto.


At Cirencester Ian Barrett was second and Brian Harris ran a new parkrun PB on the eve of his 60th birthday. Brian is looking forward to testing his 5k pace on the road at a race in a couple of weeks time.
